Express Your Brand DNA with Bespoke Virtual Showrooms Webinar

On Tuesday November 8th, Simon Lock, Chief Executive Officer of The ORDRE Group and Chris Akrimi, Chief Revenue Officer of JOOR sat down to discuss the importance of visual assets in the digital space and how the partnership between ORDRE and JOOR is revolutionising the way brands present their collections, virtually.

A General Overview:

This lucrative partnership between ORDRE and JOOR has given brands the momentum to shape their visual identity through 360° imagery while simultaneously expanding on their own Web3 presence through activations such as virtual showrooms.

A growing number of brands are beginning to position themselves into more virtual spaces by incorporating high performing visual assets and metaverses. With more fashion brands leaning into Web3, there is a need in the market for advanced imaging and more palpable solutions for accessibility, globally.

In the webinar, Simon discussed how ORB360° imagery is not only a fully digital imaging service at half the cost of in-studio photography, it is the most innovative imaging service on the market. With its top of the line advanced imaging technology and lighting system, ORB360° takes 360° imagery to the next level by creating visually enticing videos, Ghost Imagery, background removal, and comprehensive retouching.

He continued by explaining that operators in various offices around the world are able to upload imagery within seconds to the DAM cloud-based content management system allowing brands to view imagery in real-time. This system is unbeknownst to fashion heads using archaic photographic systems and can be daunting at first glance. Yet many luxury fashion brands, 200 to be exact, have used ORB360° including Louis Vuitton, Givenchy, Balmain, Balenciaga, Vivienne Westwood and many many others.

Cost and efficiency, Simon explained, is what sets ORB360° apart from traditional photography. While the maximum number of images a day for packshots and lookbooks are from 20-30 products per shoot, ORB360° can do 75-100 looks in one day. The way the system is set up allows clients to get the most high quality imagery while minimising complexity with each shot.

Chris then asked Simon how clients can utilise assets for both B2B and B2C channels. Simon explained that ORB360° clients have found ways to optimise these assets to their liking and used said assets in various unique ways throughout all media and commerce channels including e-commerce, social media, and lookbooks. Each spin takes 72 images and each look is uploaded to the DAM immediately once shot. These 72 images can be used as a GIF, MP4, or a brand can use one image from the 72 images to showcase the models and/or accessories.

JOOR Custom Overview:

Shifting the talk to virtual showrooms, Chris and Simon began discussing JOOR Custom, the latest service offering from both ORDRE and JOOR. This customisable stand-alone showroom allows brands to create their own virtual spaces to complement their physical showrooms. Simon explained that coming out of the pandemic, brands have needed to adapt to a hybrid model system. Virtual showrooms are becoming a need as opposed to a want in the fashion industry. With lack of travel during the pandemic, both ORDRE and JOOR saw a way to bridge the gap between the physical and virtual worlds by creating JOOR custom.

With easy-to-use hotspots to navigate within the customised showrooms, buyers and retailers can move seamlessly between rooms in this virtual space. They can also click the collections within the space to look through the lookbooks with ORB360 imagery included at a separate fee. Brands can also add-on unique videos to their virtual showrooms such as runway video from Paris or Milan. Whatever the brand wants the brand can have at additional fees depending on the complexity of the add-on.

Sneak peak of the future:

ORB360° is leading the pack in innovations with new technologies being developed as Simon explained. Currently, ORB360° developers are working on putting 360° images into 3D files and placing them in metaverse environments. These images can then be animated through 3D rendering onto avatars. These technologies are shifting the way we think of fashion by incorporating virtualisation of fashion brands in a totally different way.

Another major technological advancement for The ORDRE Group, is the Authentique app. This app allows clients purchasing a brand name item at the physical store to create their very own NFT of the physical product upon purchase. This NFT is stored on the Authentique app where consumers are able to track their products' provenance and verify its authenticity.
