LA x ORB360˚ RECAP
LA SWIM WEEK RECAP
The first annual LA Swim Week hosted by Art Hearts Fashion came to a close last Tuesday in Downtown LA at the New Mart building. With a city yearning for headway on the fashion playing field, Los Angeles boasts untapped potential and growth for designers and artists alike. Art Hearts Fashion allowed the space for both local and big name brands to have a platform to showcase their designs to the LA market.
Over the course of 4 days, 24 designers showcased their collections at the New Mart building fusing together high fashion with swimwear. This fashion event brought together some of the most lucrative up-and-coming designers in Los Angeles. Art Hearts Fashion, the firm creating this experience, started off by contributing to the creation of the Miami Swim Week experience. With the success of Miami Swim, Art Hearts decided to tap into the LA market during Market week where buyers from retailers all across the country came together to view showrooms and buy wholesale.
ORB360˚ AT LA SWIM
With such monumental potential, the ORDRE Group teamed up with Art Hearts Fashion and provided imagery through the ORB360˚ Model Unit at LA Swim Week. Local designers and big name brands such as Body Glove and Nike Swim showcased their designs at LA Swim and had the chance to capture their best pieces in the ORB360˚. Designers were provided with video imagery from the ORB360˚ with proven high quality imagery through the ORB360˚’s patented-lighting technology and 360˚ view to use for e-commerce and social media channels.
DESIGNERS TO LOOK OUT FOR
This collaborative showcase at LA Swim gave up-and-coming designers a platform to present collections to potential buyers. Swimwear designers such as Remnant and Carmen Sol came in scorching hot with their attention to detail and minimalistic approach. Designers such as Bishme Cromartie showcased their collection with a mixture of swimwear and streetwear infused with high fashion pieces to high acclaim. BodyGlove and Nike Swim closed out Monday and Tuesday while Triple X collaborated with Dr. Martens creating a LA punk-inspired swim-line. Most designers at LA Swim brought together elements of Los Angeles streetwear style into their collections making a huge splash.
